Character：
Crystal or bright amorphous power, relatively density 4.15(15℃)，melting point 1580℃, almost can’t dissolve in water,alchole,nitric acid. It can be dissolved in hot sulfate and easily crystalized while drying . It can also be deoxidized into Barium Sulphide with Carbon at 600℃
Use：
As filler or material used in paint, print ink,plastic,rubber and accumulator. As coating agent used in photo-printing paper or coat paper. As sizing agent in textile industry ,as clarifier mainly play role of sparking and increasing polish in glass vessle making .Besides,it is also used as wall material in X-ray protection, used in industries such as pottery, porcelain enamel,spicery,pigment. Also raw material in making other barium salt.

Determined Method
Determination on Barium Sulfate:Melt sample with the mixture of Natrium Carbonate and Kalium Carbonate at high temperature, in this way Sulfate becomes Barium Carbonate. Then use continue determination by weight---method
Determine PH value:According toGB/T1717，turn setting for 5min into setting for 10min
Determine:Iron Operate according toGB/T3049
Determination of brightness:To make bright board use sample depressor. Compare it standard sample of magnesium oxide.
Test oil absorption:Test the quantity of sample’s absorption of fine linseed oil under regular conditions
Test water soluble material%:Operate according to the instructions of GB/T5211.2.
Test brightness:Scatter sample in water and put them into screen, repeat several times .Flush substance on screen until lotion is clear, just then dry and weigh it.
Test oil absorption:Test the quantity of sample’s absorption of fine linseed oil under regular conditions
Test water soluble material%:Operate according to the instructions of GB/T5211.2.
